Each room has a balcony overlooking either the main road or an internal courtyard / garden. The apartment comes with a separate dining area, fully equipped kitchen and two sitting areas. What's with the name \"My Story\" ? The hostel tells the story of our well travelled founder, Vajira who took 3 months off and travelled the length and breadth of Sri Lanka going to the more common and off the beaten track locations. The hostel contains a multitude of photos and articles published in a Sri Lankan Newspaper \"Ceylon Today\" of those journeys. He hopes that this will give travellers a good insight into exciting places to visit in Sri Lanka and help organise their itinerary better. The photo journal not only takes you to Sri Lanka but also to his world travels; there is also a photoblog of his travels from Chennai to London by bus and train across 50 days and other travels. Vajira along with his wife Tarushi also runs the My Little Island Hostel in Colombo 3 which is approximately 10 minutes away by tuk tuk and Om Shambhala Yoga Shala and Accommodation 800 meters away on Fife Road which is a 10 min walk down Isipathana Road opposite the hostel. The apartment building is at the junction of two main roads namely Havelock Road and Dickmons Road, hence very close to transport links. The rooms have been double glazed to reduce the traffic noise. There is a supermarket literally next door to the hostel and a number of eating places within a 5 min walk. The hostel has a digital lock at the main entrance and each room also has digital locks. The reception will be manned during the day and in the night if any assistance is needed our staff are based in Om Shambhala and it would take them 10 minutes to get to you. The apartment building does not have a lift hence you will need to climb 2 floors. A scrumptious vegetarian continental breakfast awaits you with fruit and drink in the morning.
